Australian Broker: “Brisbane buyers battle 30-offer auctions as unit market surges”
Australian Broker spoke with Jack about just how competitive Brisbane had become, with some properties drawing more than 30 written offers. He explained that heavy competition is now the norm rather than the exception, especially in the sub-$1 million space for older units close to the CBD.
The piece is aimed at mortgage brokers guiding buyers through the market, and Jack set out what actually separates a successful offer from a knock-back: a tight suburb focus, real relationships with local agents, and the ability to move fast when the right property appears.
“At minimum, I would say we’re seeing six to eight offers, but most commonly we’re sitting around 12 to 15.”
When a property draws a dozen offers, price alone does not win it. Terms, speed and a clean, pre-approved offer the agent trusts are what get you across the line.
That is exactly the work we do before we ever inspect: finance ready, due diligence done, so when the right one comes up we can act the same day.
